Tour Description/Daily Itinerary:
Join us on a memorable nine day tour to one of Italy's premier vacation resorts! Our tour includes 3 meals daily, 7 nights at the 4 star Hotel Michelangelo (or similar) within walking distance of the shops and cafes of Sorrento, daily sightseeing, and local guides

DAY 1 - Fly to Italy
Depart on an early-evening overnight transatlantic flight to Naples (intermediate stop).

DAY 2 – Sorrento
Arrival at the airport in Naples where we will be met and transferred to the hotel in Sorrento. Pizza lunch at our hotel today. The remainder of the day is at our leisure to get acquainted with the hotel and our surroundings. Orientation meeting, with “Welcoming Drink”, this evening at our hotel prior to dinner. DAY 3 – Sorrento
After breakfast at our hotel, we will be hosted on a morning walk through the historical center of Sorrento, then we will be taken on a morning tour through the hillsides of Sorrento. We will visit La Sorgente, a picturesque agricultural farm nestled in the Sorrentine hills with a fabulous view of the city of Naples. Sip on homemade wine, snack on crisp, tender Italian bread (topped with fresh tomato and a drizzle of olive oil), and sample the best homemade mozzarella one could imagine! Return to the hotel for lunch. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. Hotel Michelangelo or similar, Sorrento (BB,L,D)

DAY 4 – Isle of Capri
Today we will visit the beautiful Isle of Capri! Our full-day excursion includes a round trip ferry ride, lunch on Capri, and a guided tour. The town of Capri is very chic with shops, hotels, and restaurants lying along winding streets. The main square, Piazza Umberto, has a pretty white church and several open-air cafes. We’ll also visit the Augustus Gardens and their magnificent view over the Faraglioni Rocks. We will return to the hotel for dinner this evening. Hotel Michelangelo or similar, Sorrento (BB,L,D)

DAY 5 - Amalfi Drive
After breakfast, we will be drive one of the most scenic roads in the world –The Amalfi Drive! Our first stop will be above Positano, one of Italy’s most famous and elegant resorts. We will then continue our drive through the ancient marine republic of Amalfi. Free time to visit the beautiful Cathedral of St. Andrew, explore the town or browse and shop. Lunch will be in Scala, and in the afternoon visit Ravello. Return to Sorrento for dinner and overnight. Hotel Michelangelo or similar, Sorrento (BB,L,D)

DAY 6 – Pompeii & Naples
Following breakfast, we will visit the “lost city” of Pompeii and its excavations. Lunch in Pompeii. Afterwards, we will tour the city of Naples, visiting the commercial and military port, and the medieval castle, Castel dell’Ovo. Dinner and overnight. Hotel Michelangelo or similar, Sorrento (BB,L,D)

DAY 7 – Caserta & Montecassino
After breakfast, drive to Caserta for a tour of the imposing Royal Palace and its magnificent grounds and gardens. After lunch, visit the hilltop Abbey of Montecassino, which was destroyed during one of the most brutal battles of WWII, and re-built in the 1950's. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. DAY 8 – Sorrento
Breakfast at our hotel. The day is at leisure! Farewell dinner at a typical restaurant in the heart of Sorrento, with live Neapolitan music and dancing. Overnight. Hotel Michelangelo or similar, Sorrento (BB,L,D)

DAY 9 – Return to the United States
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to the Naples Airport for our return flight to Boston/NY (intermediate stop) with meal and beverage service en route. We will arrive mid-to-late afternoon the same day. (BB)

Arrival time: Flights depart NY/BOS in the late afternoon or early evening.
Departure time: Flights return to NY/BOS in the early to late afternoon.

Full refunds, minus a $10.00 service fee and the cost of insurance (if applicable), will be returned to passengers if cancellation is given up to 90 days prior to tour departure date. Between 89 – 76 days prior to departure, the full deposit is non-refundable. Between 75 – 46 days prior to departure, 25% of the total tour price is forfeited. Between 45 - 36 days prior to departure, 50% of the total tour price is forfeited. Between 35 – 16 days prior to departure, 75% of the total tour price is forfeited. Within 15 days of departure – no refund.
